Green Rio Samba Arm Sleeve

A wonderful accessory and essential if you want to change the look of your costume. Samba sleeves are called in Brazil "Polianas" (leg warmers)  or "Manguinhas de samba" (samba sleeves). Leg sleeves can also be called "Perneiras".  When a sleeve is closed on the chest or on the neck, it can be called "bolero" or "casaquinho" (little jacket). 

Most samba dancers will have a collection of these pieces to accentuate or add on to their existing costume.

It's a beautiful way to gracefully show your arm routine and leg routine as the sleeves are added by crystals and embellished carefully, adding each stone by hand. Some more elaborate costume are done with a transparent mesh-like fabric with tiny little added crystals. This is a typical Brazilian accessory that has been lasting and around for many years. Some have cut-outs and embellishments around their designs, others extend towards the fingers, like a glove. It varies!

This is a nice set to accentuate your costume and we can make in any color:

• Lycra is used in this set, but we can use a shinnier Lycra called Cirret.
• Some customers even prefer lace Lycra over Lycra, there are many ways we can make your sleeve.
• Some arm sleeve does not have "finger" placement, please note.
• Need a longer leg sleeve, mid thigh that hooks to your bikini? We can make it!
• Acrylic stones and rhinestones are used to decorate the sleeves.

If you need stones to match your costume, please let us know by sending us a separate email. Using prime materials like Swarovski crystals will make your set more expensive.

After your order is complete we will ask for example of measurements like the ones listed below. Typically the below measurements are for the"bolero" style.

1) Tip of the shoulder to wrist length measurements 

2) Across upper back.

3) Wrist circumference.

4) Arm circumference
